Obituary

Larry Simpson Wilkerson,82, passed away on December 11, 2020. He loved the Lord and ministering to others; bringing them to Christ.  Larry was a faithful member, a deacon and a Sunday school teacher at Brookview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Matthew Wilkerson; parents, Carlos and Thelma Wilkerson and brother, Gene Wilkerson.

Larry leaves to cherish his wife of 61 years, Barbara Wilkerson; children, Sheila Wilkerson, Nathan (Keisha) Wilkerson, Aaron Wilkerson and Tammy (Ruben) Lorenzo; grandchildren, Nikki (Randy) Wells, Jordan (Shannon) Wilkerson, Shane Hardin, Eric Wilkerson and Ally Wilkerson; great-grandchildren, Raiden, Kayde and baby Ember on the way; sister, Carolyn (Steve) McNutt; brothers, Harold Wilkerson and Jerry (Sharon) Wilkerson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Brookview Baptist Church, 4323 S. Brook Street, Louisville, KY 40214, from 1pm-8pm.  A celebration of Larry’s life will be Thursday, December 17, 2020, beginning at 11am at the church. 

Larry will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213.
