Etta Mae McKeen, 94, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. Etta was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late George and Flora Hardy Beeler on April 4, 1926. She was a member at Community of Christ and VFW 2921 Auxiliary Ladies. Etta was an avid card player who loved to play, and win, at poker, bingo and pinochle. Etta was a wonderful cook, whose generosity was always on display. She enjoyed water aerobics, soap opera’s and telling jokes. She was known for her witty humor, nothing got by her.
In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. McKeen; son, Arthur T. “Theodore” McKeen; brothers, Arthur and George Vernon Beeler; nephews, Michael and Roy; and a niece, Ethel Mae.
Left to cherish her memory, Etta leaves behind a daughter, Flora Stoltz (Dallas); grandchildren, Richard Stoltz, Relena Miller (Larry) and Cathy DeGroff (Aaron); great grandchildren, Kristal, Christina, Brittany, Sam, Jonathan, Matthew and Kiley; great great grandchildren, Eiljah, Trinity and Eritrea; nephews, Robert and Harry; a niece, Robin and a host of extended friends and family.
Funeral services for Mrs. McKeen will be held at 1 PM, on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd in Louisville, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 11-1 PM at the funeral home.
